Rules 1997-2002

Each participant will enter names of 15 celebrities, in the anticipation that any or all of them die in the following 12 months

The competition will run from 0:00 1st january to 23:59 31st December in any given year.

Any participant found murdering celebrities will be disqualified

Points will be awarded as follows:
According to age:	over 80	10 points
	70-79	15 points
	60-69	20 points
	50-59	30 points
	40-49	40 points
	30-39	50 points
	under 30	75 points
Time of year:	within a week of Christmas:	10 points
	on Christmas Day	50 points
	on their Birthday	100 points
Bonus points according to cause of death:
	Heart attack	10 points
	Cancer	20 points
	Exotic/Tropical Disease	100 points
	Natural phenomena	20 points
	Suicide	10 points
	Vehicle Accident	50 points
	Murdered	50 points
	Died whilst making film	50 points
	Domestic accident	40 points

Note: Bonus points for cause of death and time of year stopped after the 2002 season.

Every participant chooses a 'Joker' month - any deaths during this month will score double points.

There is no entry fee, and no prize.

At the end of the year, participants with the highest three scores are entered into the League Table, with gold, silver and bronze 'medals' awarded for first (or joint first) etc. Of course, you do need to score some points for a medal!

Ideally, lists of chosen celebrities should be received by midnight, 31st December, but it is possible to join a game once it has started. usually accept any entries during January. Of course, any celebrities who die before you enter your team will not count.

(In the event of a chosen celebrity dying - especially an obscure one, an obituary would be handy!)
